Sheffield District Railway Company
Incorporated in 1896. A short line connecting two sections of the Midland Railway in the area. It was promoted by the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast company, to allow them access to Sheffield, and opened in 1900. The line passed to the Great Central Railway in 1907.
Capital £200,000 in ordinary shares, and £100,000 in 5% preference shares. Loans of £144,326 in debenture stocks.
