Shrewsbury and Potteries Junction Railway Company
Incorporated on 5th July 1865. A network of lines connecting the Wellington and Market Drayton, the Shrewsbury and Crewe, the Shrewsbury and Welshpool, the Severn Valley and the Shrewsbury and Hereford Railways. It amalgamated with the Shrewsbury and North Wales Railway and formed the Potteries, Shrewsbury and North Wales Railway in 1866.
Original capital £400,000 in shares, and loans of £133,300. Increased in 1866 by £80,000 and £26,600 respectively.
