
Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Chester Junction Railway Company
Opened in 1845. A line to connect the towns, which followed a similar route to the North Wales Mineral Railways planned extension to Shrewsbury (not built). Instead the two companies joined forces and formed the Shrewsbury and Chester Railway in 1846.
Capital £410,000 in 20,500 £20 shares. In 1851 capital increased by £276,000 in £10 shares for new station. These were later converted into £27,600 in £20 shares following cancellation of the £10 shares.
