Sidmouth Railway Company
Incorporated on 29th June 1871. An 8 mile light railway between the town and the London and South Western line in Feniton, which replaced the earlier Sidmouth Harbour Railway. It was opened by the London and South Western company in 1874, and passed to the Southern Railway at grouping.
