St. Albans High School for Girls Limited
The school was founded in 1889 in a converted hospital in Holywell Hill. This proved to be unsuitable and in 1908 new premises were acquired on Townsend Avenue and this company was formed for its acquisition. It still forms part of the campus of the school.
