Stockton and Hartlepool Railway Company
Incorporated on 30th June 1842.
An 8 mile line between the towns and connected with the Clarence Railway. It was built and opened in 1839 prior to its incorporation, and includes the 700 yard Greatham Viaduct. The line became amalgamated with the Leeds and Thirsk Railway.
