Swindon and Cheltenham Extension Railway Company
Incorporated on 18th July 1881.
A 36 mile line connecting the Great Western in Cheltenham and the Swindon, Marlborough and Andover Railways. It amalgamated with the latter company and formed the Midland and South Western Junction Railway in 1884. This joined the Great Western network in 1923.
