Great Ship Company Ltd
Registered 21st October 1858 to acquire the S.S.Great Eastern from the bankrupt Eastern Steam Navigation Company. The ship was the largest in the world at the time but was unsuccessful and was sold in 1864 to the Great Eastern Steamship Company in 1864 who used it to lay transatlantic cables. Dissolved <1916. Company number 1346.
