Eccles’ Gelngarriff Hotel Company Limited
An historic Hotel in County Cork, Ireland which has been in existence since 1745. This company registered in Dublin to acquire the Hotel in 1888 with ‘business will continuue to be conducted by Mrs Eccles and her staff’ noted in a contemporary newspaper report. Voluntary liquidation in January 1914 apparently for reconstruction but we are not sure what happened after that though the hotel still thrives as part of Historic Hotels, Europe.
