A 20 mile line from Glasgow to Dumbarton and Loch Lomond. Only 8 ½ miles of the proposed line was actually built, which opened in 1850. Eventually amalgamated with the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway in 1862.
Capital £650,000 in shares of £25 each. Loans of £216,600.
