Dingwall and Skye Railway Company
Incorporated on 5th July 1865
A 63 mile line to connect the two Scottish towns via Stromeferry. The line was shortened to the latter village due to lack of funding, and opened in 1870. It was amalgamated with the Highland Railway in 1880 and completed to its intended terminus in 1897.
Capital £450,000 in shares and loans of £150,000. Subscribed by Highland Railway £100,000 and Caledonian Railway £50,000.
