Forth and Clyde Junction Railway Company
Incorporated on 4th August 1853.
A 30 mile line running from the Scottish Central Railway to the foot of Loch Lomond (and the Caledonian and Dumbartonshire Railway). It opened in 1856 as the shortest route from East to West in Scotland, and was leased to the North British from 1875.
Original capital £150,000 in shares of £10 each, and loans of £50,000. Total Capital in 1889 £254,590.
