Incorporated on 17th July 1862.
A 10 mile line linking the Caledonian Railway in Greenock with Wemyss Bay. It was worked by the Caledonian company who had subscribed to the project, and absorbed by them in 1893.
Capital £120,000 in shares of £10 each, loans of £30,000. 1863 extension and pier raised new capital of £30,000 and loans £10,000.
