Kelvin Valley Railway Company
Incorporated on 21st July 1873.
An 11½ mile line connecting with the Glasgow, Dumbarton and Helensburgh Railway in Maryhill and running to Torrance and Kilsyth. A connection was also formed with the North British Railway in Kilsyth via the newly built Kilsyth Railway, which was absorbed by the Kelvin Valley company in 1877. The lines opened in 1879, and passed to the North British company in 1885.
Capital £90,000 in shares of £10 each. Loans of £30,000.
