Incorporated on 5th August 1891.
A 17½ mile line connecting with the Caledonian Railway in Stobcross and running to Dumbarton, with shorter branches for freight traffic. The line opened in 1896 and was acquired by the Caledonian Railway in 1909.
Capital £875,000 in £10 shares, and loans of £275,000.
