
Scottish Central Railway Company
Incorporated on 31st July 1845. A 47 mile standard gauge line from Perth to connect with the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway in Falkirk. It also had junctions with many other major lines in Scotland including the Caledonian, the Scottish Midland Junction, and the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railways.
Original Capital £1,255,000 in 40,000 Shares of £25 each. Loans of £418,160. Total capital in 1853 £1,050,000 in shares, and £434,160 in loans.
