Incorporated on 29th June 1865.
A 32 mile line linking Sutherland to the Highland Railway. It opened in 1868 and 1871, and was extended under the Sutherland and Caithness name in 1874, later vested in the Highland Railway from 1884.
Capital £180,000 in shares and £60,000 in loans. Increased by £30,000 and £10,000 respectively in 1866.
