Snowdon Mountain Railway Company
No Act of Incorporation required as land was obtained from the land owner.
A 5 mile line built in the narrow 2ft 7½in gauge, using the rack-operated system (the only one in the UK) to reach the summit of the mountain. It opened in 1896, and still runs for tourists today.
