Swansea Vale Railway Company
Incorporated on 15th June 1855.
A non-parliamentary company formed in 1850 to acquire the Swansea Valley Railway. It joined with the Swansea Valley Railway before incorporation, and passed to the Midland Railway in 1876.
Capital £147,000 in £25 shares, and £49,000 in loans. New capital in 1859 of £33,000 in 6% preference shares and £11,000 loans, and the same amounts created again in 1861.
