Incorporated in Colorado by 1891 to divert water from the Arkansas River in Colorado for irrigation. Charles Dow was trustee for the bondholders. Charles Henry Dow was an American journalist. He was the co-founder of the Dow Jones Company, as well as the founder of The Wall Street Journal. He was also responsible for inventing the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Dow Theory.
