Postal Telegraph and Cable Corporation
Originally founded in the 1880’s by John William Mackay to provide a network of dometic cables to connect to the Atlantic Telegraph. This company incorporated in Maryland in 1928 and grew as the main competitor of Western Union with which it was merged in 1943.
