Vermont Texas Land Company
The company was formed on 13th September 1836 to purchase real estate in Texas. There is no evidence that any land was acquired but the shares certainly circulated in Vermont until the mid 1840’s. Signed by Julius Converse as one of the trustees. Julius Converse, 1798-1885, 34th Governor of Vermont, 1872-1874.
