Schantung-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft
The Sino-German treaty of 1897 granted a 99 lease of the Territory of Kiauchiau to Germany. The Schantung Railway was formed in 1900 and the line was completed in 1904 connecting the City of Tsingtao to the Wei-hsien coal mines.
